    Establishing core project objectives to shape your vision into a clear concept, refining it through multiple iterations.

  • Design Development

    Expanding the concept into detailed drawings while facilitating collaboration with the design team to develop cost estimates & prepare for permit submission.

  • Construction Drawings

    Developing your design into a detailed, sophisticated set of drawings; a critical phase to ensure proper construction.

  • Project Oversight

    Communicating with and assisting the contractor & design team in the careful execution of the design—an ongoing phase that gradually escalates.

MeeT THE TEAM

Jeff Hammer

Founder & Principal Architect, NCARB

A midwest native from Kansas City, Jeff was drawn to the process of home design from a young age – building extensive models and entering competitions throughout his adolescent years.

Jeff holds a Master of Architecture degree from Clemson University as well as undergraduate degrees in Construction & Business Management. During his master’s program, Jeff spent a semester in Southern California leading a team in the design and construction of a solar-powered home for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon® competition. Jeff’s extensive background in construction enables him to seamlessly blend artistic design with real-world practicality.

Prior to launching Hammer Architecture, Jeff worked with a prestigious residential design firm in Nashville for seven years. As a licensed architect, Jeff is a member of the National Council of Architecture Registration Board.

Married and living in West Nashville, Jeff and his wife, Elizabeth, have enjoyed undertaking their own home renovations, gutting and rebuilding their home from the inside out.

Elizabeth Hammer

Director of Operations, Marketing & Client Experience

With a background spanning merchandising, business strategy, marketing, and photography, Elizabeth brings both creative vision and operational leadership to Hammer Architecture. She oversees the firm's marketing initiatives, client experience, and day-to-day operations, helping ensure each project is approached with clarity, organization, and care.

After more than a decade working with globally recognized brands, she's thrilled to channel her expertise into a business that is deeply personal.

Her obsession with detail and pursuit of aesthetics complements Jeff's architectural vision, creating a dynamic partnership where ideas flourish and every client interaction reflects the firm's commitment to thoughtful design.
